
Gift Boxes

Thrifty Stamper here with this week's penny pinching/money saving idea.
A friend of mine has a small dog. She feeds him Beneful brand wet dog food. It comes in cute little containers that are perfect for small gifts. Each flavor has a different color lid.

You can't tell from the photo above but the lid has a strange shape. It also has a divoted rectangle in the center. That can be a challenge, but if you use pop dots in the center of the divot and then around the edges it will level off.
Ginny a fellow design team member wrote a tutorial where she explained that she prefers to see a final project before attempting a tutorial.

To make this project you will need:
stamp sets- Just a Note, Hello Butterflies
black ink
markers-orange, burnt orange, tan
button
twine
corner punch
punches for sentiment (or you can hand cut the sentiment)
pop dots
Beneful wet dog food container
optional- crimper
black cardstock:
3 3/4" x 2 1/2"
1" x 3 1/2"
oatmeal cardstock
3 1/2" x 2 1/4"
scrap for sentiment
Tan cardstock
3/4" x 3 1/2"
white cardstock scrap
Use corner rounder punch to round two opposite edges on the large black panel.
Use corner rounder punch to round two opposite edges of the oatmeal panel.
Stamp the background image in black onto the oatmeal panel.
Run the black and the tan strips through the crimper.
Assemble the layers.
Stamp the butterfly image in black.
Color image.
Cut out image.
Stamp sentiment in black.
Punch out sentiment.
Assemble final project with twine, button and sentiment.
Adhere the panel to the lid of the container with pop dots.
Finished project.
