Nail Polish Highlights
by Thrifty Stamper
I like to experiment with different inexpensive coloring mediums. I purchased 3 bottles of nail polish at the local dollar store. Here it is called Dollar Tree. I found that the polish was not opaque. It gave shine and a bit of color to pre-colored images.
To make this card you will need:
Stamp set-Relax a Bit
ink- black and a brown
Black card stock:
4 1/2" x 3 1/4"
1" x 3 3/4"
1" x 2 1/2"
Large black circle diecut
scrap to punch oval
Printed paper:
4 1/4" x 3"
3/4" x 3 1/2"
3/4" x 2 1/4"
Natural cardstock:
4 1/4" x 11 folded in half for base
circle that nests in the black circle

Oval punches that nest

Stamp image in black.
Color image with markers.
Brush nail polish over the flower image. It will add a shine and hint of color.
Let image dry.
Cut out image.
Use sponge spot to add brown ink to edges of the image.
Use sponge spot to add brown ink to the edges of the Natural cardstock circle.
Assemble corresponding layers.
Stamp sentiment image in black onto Natural cardstock scrap.
I wanted to use the first word of the sentiment. I used the smaller of the two nesting ovals to punch it out.
Punch black scrap with large oval.
Layer the Natural and black ovals.
Punch small hole in end of nested ovals.
Use cord/yarn to attach the sentiment to the smallest panel.
Assemble card.
Finished project.
